"Popcorn's
been my life," says Robert "Popcorn Bob" Tranchant.
Born in New Orleans, where delicious food is always a top priority,
Bob has certainly made it his. And while growing up in New Orleans
may have sparked his interest in food, Popcorn Bob's real gastronomic
journey began on a broader scale when, as a young man, he attended
the Culinary Institute of America in New Haven, Connecticut. In
studying the delectable nuances of haute cuisine, Bob developed
an enduring appreciation for fresh ingredients and fine dining.
Ultimately, it steered him in the direction of gourmet popcorn.
"There's a lot of mass production popcorn for
sale in the marketplace, but you won't find the freshness and purity
of ingredients that I use," says Popcorn Bob. From handpicking
the ingredients to carefully monitoring every step in preparation
and shipping, Bob is able to ensure the quality of his gourmet popcorn.
And unlike discounted canned popcorns, the Popcorn Bob brand means
the popcorn is never stored in warehouses. "We're all about
quick turnaround, so my popcorn stays as fresh as its original flavorings,"

Over the years, Bob's journey to legendary status
in the world of popcorn has taken him cross country, but as any

stirring up new flavors in his test kitchen and watching over the
